Anacortes Oyster Run 2009

September 29th, 2009

What great weather for the weekend ride down to Washington State!  Sunshine and a cool breeze…  perfect weather to enjoy riding the backroads of the country.  An afternoon of riding in the sun, and a marked increase in motorcycle traffic on the roads (and in the local watering holes) made for a wonderful day.  The [...]

Weekend July 11

What a weekend!
Saturday, I met up with a bunch of riders who thought it might be fun to do the Vancouver, Princeton, Merritt loop.  What a great group of riders there are in the Vancouver area.
We ended up riding the whole Vancouver-Princeton-Spences Bridge-Fraser Canyon ride !
The whole trip was just over 17 hours for me, [...]

This weekend I plan to ride another classic loop for the Vancouver area:  the Princeton Loop.  Vancouver, Hope, Princeton, Merritt and back to Vancouver.  This is half of the old classic which has been available since the construction of the Coquihalla highway which opened in 1986.  The eastern half of this loop takes you through Manning Park [...]

Great Weekend - April 18/19

April 21st, 2009

Check out Chuckanut Drive just outside Bellingham.  Nice road, lots of other riders out but no traffic jams.  While it’s only about 12 miles long, it runs right along the Samish Bay coast and through the Larabee State [...]
